Bring on the butterflies while you enjoy a pint at Dual Citizen Brewing! Your yard can help to support songbirds, pollinators, wildlife — AND look beautiful. During this happy-hour workshop with nature educator Angie Hong, we'll talk about what to plant, how to get started, where to buy native plants in Minnesota and western Wisconsin and where to find additional support for planting projects. Learn about native gardens, bee lawns, prairies and flowering trees and shrubs.

Event partners Blue Thumb and Metro Blooms will be tabling at our event to share information about their gardening workshops, online learning opportunities, grants for gardeners and more!

Whether you have a small urban lot or a large farm in the country, you can help to create pockets of habitat and connected corridors for pollinators and other wildlife in our community and do your part to improve water quality

Presenter Angie Hong is the coordinator for Minnesota’s East Metro Water Education Program and manages the popular @mnnature_awesomeness account on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Read her tips and tales about keeping water clean at eastmetrowater.org.

Dual Citizen Brewing Company offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options. People of all ages are welcome!
